As one of pop culture’s true originators and innovators ,the iconic Grace Jones has certainly paved the way for some of today’s more fashionable female artists (Rihanna, Lady GaGa), but instead of taking the ‘imitation is the highest form of flattery’ approach, Grace is just plain pissed off, as she expressed to the Guardian when asked if Lady GaGa had tried to collaborate with her.

“I just don’t play with other acts as a rule,” she says, with rare discretion.

What does she think of her? “I really don’t think of her at all. I go about my business.”

В принципе, всё правдаю... Обожаю стиль Грейс, кстати

правда - не правда, не люблю, когда старые никому нах ненужные артисты парафинят молодых и популярных!
Гага же не виновата, что Грейс никогда не была популярна и не смогла стать большой звездой, а так и осталась полу-актрисой, полу-певицей третьего эшелона.

С этим тоже отчасти согласен, по поводу парафинить, хоть и люблю её...

Ну мызука ее не была такой мэйстримовой, как у гаги. А то что идея гей-дивы, эксперементирующей с высокой модой, Грэйс была обыграна уже давно - это факт. По крайней мере, у нее был стиль, а у гаги просто куча платьев. Грэйс Джонс - икона, а Гага просто попудлярна..пока что.
