After selling more than 300,000 copies of his first album, Neo-Soul singer Dwele returns with her second offering named "Some Kinda"
He has a beautiful voice and knows how to control it. But this album, gets stucked for moments, and its a slow grower.
One of the highlights is the first single "I Think I Love You", while the powerful ballad "Weekend Love" shouldnt be ignored. Holla is ok at first, but then turns into an inevitable pain.
There are nice cuts like the fresh "Know Your Name", the collaboration with Slum Village "Keep On" and the stunning intro of "A Pimps Dream".
But the ballads follow the same formula, and the album turns up to be a little samey.
Despite that, its still a worth listening effort. Dwele is a big promise, its just a question of waiting for a little while since its only the beginning of his carrer.
