The star has put his singing career on hold recently, instead focusing on making movies like his newest release The Social Network. He is passionate about film, but says he still lays down tracks when he has the time.

“I mean, the way music is released… I’m constantly writing music, producing for other artists and I have songs in the vault,” he said. “I don’t have any immediate plans to get back into the studio, but I could wake up tomorrow and say, ‘OK, I wanna do a record!’ And then it’ll be released eight months later.”

Although Justin has been more involved with films over the last few years, he refuses to say whether they are his first love. He insists acting and singing are so different they are impossible to choose between, and so he plans to keep doing both.

“They’re like apples and oranges,” he laughed.
