Легендарная группа 70-х Carpenters - дуэт брата и сестры Карен и Ричарда Карпентеров.
Не взирая на то, что 70-ые в США ознаменовались засильем различных рок-направлений, популярностью соула, а во вторйо половине 70-х и диско, Carpenters с их мягким поп-звучанием смогли стать одной из самых популярных групп этого десятиления в США.

В основе их творчества большое кол-во кавер-версий, почти все из которых они сделали большими хитами, и многие из этих песен ассоциируют именно с исполнением Carpenters.
