Nicole's debut album...Her Name Is Nicole, is due this September, on Interscope Records. Her first single, "Whatever You Like", will impact radio stations this month. I recently heard a demo CD, and this is my review:
1. "Whatever You Like" (Mastered) (Produced by Sean Garrett)
This is a definite club jam. The beats are crazy in this one. It's sure to be a hit, and it's a nice single choice.
2. "Baby" (Unmastered) (Produced by will.i.am)
A retro-midtempo. It's futuristic. It's unlike anything on the radio at the moment. It's definitely my favorite.
3. "Just Dance" (Unmastered) (Produced by Akon)
The song is about 'let go of everything, shut up and just dance'. It samples an old '80s song, which I don't know as of now. It's a unique production.
4. "Turn Up the Radio" (Mastered) (Produced by Wyldecard)
I hear this one was a strong contender for the first single. It's more hip-hop than anything else on the demo. I'm glad it's not the single. I don't like it that much.
